About

Hello!

My name is Dimitrios Koutentakis, and I am a college freshman, from Greece.

Since I was little, I have always wanted to explain how things work and to create my own stuff. My love for tools and making things, is what led me to be the “family handyman”, as I am the one who fixes almost everything in my house, from plumbing to furniture. One of my favorite hobbies is conceiving and developing various different projects. Some of the projects that I have built are:

– a remote controlled electronic door lock with a keypad and a secret PIN,

– a power supply unit built for my lab, a solar energy meter,

– a radar with an ultrasonic sensor and an LED display,

– as well as a wooden ramp I built when I was 13 for my remote controlled car.

Most of these projects are based on the arduino, which is a fairly straightforward and spread out open-source electronic prototyping platform.

The purpose of this website is to demonstrate only some of my creations and to give tips to anyone who wants to make something similar. You can find details for each of the projects at the respective pages (under the menu “projects”) and by visiting the photo gallery, you can view pictures from all the projects on this website. If you wish to contact me, you can do so by clicking the “contact me” page and I will respond as soon as I can.
